Pow Wow Women’s Retreat

The Call

This is a call to all the women who’s souls burn with passion and are willing to let the smoldering embers within ignite and spread wildly ferociously and without boundary.

This is a call to all women who’s hearts beat with desire and are willing to love deeply, to be in a place of openness and vulnerability and let others love them back.

This is a call to all women who are willing to speak their truth, stand in the rawness, realness and strength of who they are with pride and conviction.

This is a call to all women who are willing to look other women in the eyes and reach through from your soul to theirs without judgement or competition.

This is a call to all women who are willing to look at themselves in the mirror and see past their “flaws” that society has taught them to cover up, to be ashamed of, to see past the surface and look deep within at the true beauty in the depths of their being.

This is a call to all women who won’t settle for living a one-dimensional life, who seek adventure and are willing to take risks and stray from their comfort zone in order to live a life of passion, meaning and purpose.

Are you ready to answer the call?

Melissa from Pow Wow Design Studio, Marlo from Pacific Music Therapy and myself (Shawnee) from ABLE Yoga Therapy will be hosting a Women’s Empowerment Retreat March 22-26. We have a dream and desire for this retreat to serve as a time of self-exploration, self-love, self-empowerment, self-healing, community with other women and connection to our souls purpose, dreams and deepest desires. We’ll explore these elements through yoga, meditation, art, dance, creation, writing and so much more. We truly want this experience to be an intimate and connected one so we will only be making space for 13 women on our retreat.

YOGA & MEDITATION

No yoga or meditation experience necessary for this retreat. ALL BODIES and levels of experience welcomed and honored. The yoga and meditation sessions will have an emphasis on awareness of breath, connection to your heart, being present in your body and honoring your soul. The emphasis in the yoga sessions is a “work in” rather than a work out.

THE LOCATION

LE HAUT DESERT AERIE is a beautiful moroccan style bed and breakfast located in the high desert of Joshua Tree. This place is truly magical and embodies all of the elements of what we desired in a location for our retreat. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the world, this is the perfect place for self-reflection and self-exploration.

Additional Workshops will be provided daily by Shawnee, Marlo and Melissa with a focus on Dharma, connecting to our souls purpose, letting go of fear that holds us back from living our dharma and tapping in to our deep inner creative beings. We’ll explore these intentions through art, dance, music, writing, meditation and deep discussion.
